Overnight Oats (Chocolate Chip Cookie and Peanut Butter Cup)

Okay so let's just say you have morning classes. And let's also say you hate mornings. So you're probably not into the whole waking up extra early to make your breakfast (most important meal of the day!) and get ready for your classes (what was I supposed to have prepared for today's class?).
Yeah, I gotchu.
So if you haven't already heard of overnight oats, this will be the greatest thing ever invented for you.
Basically what overnight oats are is oatmeal soaked in any type of milk, yogurt, along with any other ingredients you what to get your desired flavor!
They are super easy because you can make them in advanced and leave them in the fridge for a few days for an easy grab and go breakfast!
For this post, I have made two different overnight oats!
The first is chocolate chip cookies:
This recipe is from The Sweet Life (check out there other overnight oats recipes!) which can be found here: http://www.thesweetlifeonline.com/2013/03/01/oatmeal-on-the-go/
The Sweet Life overnight oats all have the same base: yogurt, vanilla extract, oatmeal, milk, and chia seeds.
I use coconut yogurt to make it vegan, but there are also soy and other non dairy yogurts you could try! For milk I prefer almond milk, but again all about preference!

Add all your base ingredients into a jar to store overnight

Add remaining ingredients for whichever overnight recipe you prefer! I did chocolate chip cookie!

Get like Florence and the Machine and 'Shake it Out' (yeah I did just say that) and store in the fridge overnight!
Okay, next I did Peanut Butter Cup overnight oats from Chelsea's Messy Apron and the recipe can be found here: http://www.chelseasmessyapron.com/peanut-butter-cup-overnight-oats/
This one has a few more steps than the other because you need to melt the peanut butter before adding it so it's not all clumpy and whatnot.
So as the recipe says, melt the peanut butter, vanilla extract, and some salt in a bowl. 10 seconds microwaved, stir, then microwave again for 10 seconds.

And there's your melted and stirred peanut butter!

Add all the ingredients into your jar

Order doesn't matter except I will say don't put the peanut butter on the bottom because it will stick and make it more difficult to mix it all thoroughly

Put in the fridge overnight and enjoy on the go!
Yay now you can sleep more and just eat your breakfast on the go! Go lazy college students! Sleep is precious, take as much of it as you can!
